The fan-favorite event, the Destiny 2 Iron Banner, is back with an additional layer of PvE gameplay. Fortress is a brand-new Cabal-themed mode that is comparable to Control, a common area capture mode that is common in many online shooters. To acquire "high value zones," which are worth more points than normal capture areas, players in the new Destiny 2 Iron Banner Season 19 mode must now demolish turrets in addition to engaging in FPS action. In the game, players can gather enough Destiny 2 Silver.
Twice a season, the Iron Banner Crucible event offers a unique game mode as well as gear and incentives that are only available during the event. Players earn points in the control mode of Crucible by capturing territories. For each location the Guardians control during each period, they receive two points. A game is deemed to have zone advantage when one team controls both zones and receives 4 points for each interval. A team receives six points each game when it scores all three points, which is known as a power play.
The rules for Bastion mode are the same as those for Control, with the exception that twice during the course of the game, a Cabal drop pod arrives on one of the capture locations. To take control of the region, players must then confront each other and the Cabal Turret. Teams that successfully take control of the Cabal region will accrue more points faster.
This new mode is also connected to the game's mythology. Kayatel, the queen of the Cabal and current ally of the Vanguard, has previously shown an interest in the Forge. When they learned the news, numerous admirers voiced their wish that she would take part in Iron Banner and perhaps even provide the event a voice. By permitting her to represent Vanguard in PvP combat events, the Cabal turret's inclusion in the Iron Banner appears to have been done in order to honour her status as a Warlord.
