You can find Skiddo everywhere on Paldea, except in the northern part of the map. In particular, look out for hilly trails going around mountains. It will appear in these areas any time of the day. Be careful when you find a herd of Skiddos, as it becomes wary of its surroundings. Try to sneak up on them and start a battle by throwing your lead Pokémon out at them with ZR.
Skiddo is a Grass-type Pokémon, so when you battle with it, you can take away a big chunk of its health with Bug, Flying, Fire, Ice, and Poison attacks. It is resistant to Electric, Grass, Ground, and Water. Try to avoid using these kinds of attacks, so you don't make it faint but also get its health low enough to try to catch.
How to Evolve Skiddo into Gogoat in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
To evolve Skiddo into Gogoat, trainers must raise its level to 32. This can be done in various ways, but the quickest method is to go into the menu and feed Skiddo some EXP Candy.
A couple of these should shoot up their level to 32 to initiate the evolution. To get more, try looking on the map for the Tera Raid crystals -- challenging the crystallized Pokemon to a Raid battle (and defeating them) will earn folks loads of goodies, including EXP Candy.
