Because Mondstadt has been a part of the Genshin Impact open world for so long, many players have complained about it and some of them have even demanded that the city be changed. Genshin Impact players first meet Mondstadt as they begin their voyage with Paimon, and because so many players have explored the entire area, some offer ideas for how to make it better. In the game, players can prepare an adequate number of Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals.
A Reddit user recently came up with a proposal to make Mondstadt even better, which has drawn a lot of attention from the Genshin Impact community. Mondstadt, Crown of the North, is a central hub full of activity and vendor deals, but since the release of the HoYoverse ARPG in 2020, Genshin Impact players have noticed some design choices. While some fans uncovered details like the rain in Genshin Impact stopping once the player enters the city, others had ideas on what could be changed to improve the community.
Reddit user FrawztFyre garnered 18,500 upvotes on a screenshot showing one of the Genshin Impact characters standing next to a fountain in downtown Mond. Genshin Impact players confronted the corner of the wall in their picture and suggested that the Hoyoverse should add stairs to the corner since they and many others usually climb walls instead of stairs. Because of the way Mondstadt is designed, there are places where jumping and climbing is faster and more efficient than taking the stairs because the laws of physics dictate that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line.
There are similar walls on both sides, emphasized by FrawztFyre, who suggested that changes to Mondstadt would not detract from the overall aesthetics of the vibrant vegetation surrounding the fountain. Players often scale this wall as suggested by FrawztFyre, as it speeds up the process of visiting more important parts of Mondstadt for new Genshin Impact challenges or to interact with vendors. Although there are already stairs near the part of Mond that FrawztFyre focuses on, taking that route is a much longer distance than climbing the aforementioned wall.
FrawztFyre is not the only player attempting to reach Genshin Impact's Mondstadt; other players have also expressed interest. Some fans have recommended preserving the castle's original design for lore sake, while others have urged for improved traversal. The HoYoverse developers may be able to adopt a fix to reduce the requirement for climbing in the area given how many players upvoted the Genshin Impact article requesting this adjustment.
