Players of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will receive in-game goodies for bringing in new players and working together to complete challenges. Later this month, gamers of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and Warzone 2 will have access to a ton of brand-new content thanks to Call of Duty's impending Season 3. A sufficient number of Call of Duty Points can be prepared by players.
Over the past few years, Call of Duty has delivered a strong live presence with many annual indie releases, as well as the wildly popular battle royale experience Warzone. This shift to live service has helped the Call of Duty franchise grow and adapt to a new era of ongoing video gaming, and cemented Warzone as one of the most dominant first-person shooter battle royale titles on the market. Therefore, keeping any live service game alive requires a dedicated community and a steady stream of new players.
On Twitter, Call of Duty announced a new program called "Recruit a Friend," which will offer rewards to players who invite friends to play Warzone 2 as part of the upcoming Season 3. Both recruiters and new hires can unlock items by playing together and completing contracts, challenges, and quests. The main feature of the listed rewards are two weapon blueprints, one for the Akimbo pistol and one for the FSS Hurricane SMG, both in a glossy white weapon paint. Bonuses include two business cards and two double XP tokens to help players level up and upgrade their weapons faster.
If recruited players have played for at least three hours and have had an account for more than 60 days, they are free to start inviting up to three friends to Warzone 2. As long as new players have had their Activision accounts less than a week old and it's been 60 days since they last played Warzone 2 (if any), they're eligible to join and start earning rewards with their recruiter.
Player numbers for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have reportedly started to plummet over the past few months. With a slew of new content for Season 3 later this month and the launch of this new "Recruit a Friend" program, it'll be interesting to see if FPS multiplayer giant Call of Duty can bring back those players who left. And for recruits to jump into combat zones. For more game guides, please visit topgmnews.com.
