I have a couple questions about the dual-GPU systems I saw some video footage of here in the discussion section.

  1. Whatโ€™s the benefits of the dual GPUs? I get it, they will have more power, but if the game is already running at 1080p at 60FPS, do you really need it to go higher? Is it going to make me a better gamer or something?

  2. Are these dual-GPU systems actually coming to Maximum Settings anytime soon, or is this more like R+D stuff?

Hey, The Dual GPU systems are definitely coming to Maximum Settings but as a Speciality Category. If you check out the fantastic videos made by Minea with 2 RX 480s with Crossfire, it can more than double your FPS on supported games. Unfortunately, the support for these games are limited by developers and not many current AAA titles support this feature.

The crossfire and SLI options are being tested and will be available soon, however it is important to know that not all of your games will be able to benefit from dual GPUS. However it is still very cool, and definitly does improve results in older titles. Also, its the ultimate bragging rights, and would be an experience that i wouldnt be able to have without maximum settings ๐Ÿ™‚

1 i dont have a 4k display
2 those are some "older" cards so dont expect 120 fps at 4k... and ultra settings

hobocleat Come on man. Your just messing around right? 120fps at 4k isn't even really possible, at least with the newest most demanding games. Your just having having a laugh, yeah?

Keep in mind that i was playing around with the Dual 480s. Sure, Minesweeper would run great in 4k/120fps ๐Ÿ™‚

hobocleat once they upgrade the cpu, that one is a bit weak for minesweeper ๐Ÿ™‚
