It wasn't always like that, but for a long Call of Duty's campaign felt like an afterthought, second only to the series' popular multiplayer game. While the shepherd's involvement gains some depth as the story unfolds, it is a very predictable twist, especially for devoted Call of Duty fans. However, Alejandro Dero Vargas's function as the red herring actually helps to keep the twist from being boring. Graves has also added a new wrinkle to Twisted, since the game's new foes have radically altered how it plays compared to the 2009 version.
